Again more stuff from the “Not a Dragon” verse. I added in that headcanon of Masamune’s mother being convinced that Masamune is possessed and that she’s been trying to save him by treating the demon cruelly.
His breath was shallow and labored as he struggled to breathe. He could barely move. He was in too much pain to keep fighting back against her. As if he was actually fighting back to begin with. He was always on the defensive when it came to these fights. He couldn’t bring himself to raise a hand to her.
Yet, here he was. She was straddling his chest and she was crying, pleading with him.
“Leave him! Leave my son!”
“Mom,” his voice was hoarse. “Please stop.” He coughed up blood. “Please.”
“I’m sorry Botenmaru,” and with that, she started to stab at him. Her first target was the eye. The infected eye was where the demon lurked! She knew it. They were short quick stabs. He screamed and his hands twisted in the carpet out of agony. His legs kicked as he strained.
His hands came up to try to protect himself, but they only got in the way of the knife. He couldn’t bring himself to cry from the pain. He could only scream and scream until it became too much and he passed out.
